Ever since the 2007 trip to Moab, I have been trying to get a trip to the White rim Trail.

This year it finally fell into place. The WRT a 140 Mile loop counting to and from Moab. It is in a NP so

no unplated dirt bike or ATV's are allowed.

The Husky would be perfect with the 5 gallon IMS tank. I started out counterclockwise preferring to do the Shafer Switchbacks first thing. And leaving the fun high speed Mineral springs road for the end.

So on a crisp cool Moab morning I headed for Canyon lands NP and proceeded down the Shafer Trail.

It was hard to get moving the scenery was amazing, a perfect blue sky offsetting the red rock. Yesterday it had been

snowing in the upper elevations. Today it was perfection

From up here to way down there!

The conveyance

Everywhere you look, more stuff to take pictures of.

It was so quiet, that standing here I could hear a boat making its way up the river

Sure you can't guess why it is called the White rim Trail?

Where I had been before.....
